    Position Overview

    E3 is looking for Business Analyst to support our client in virginia.  Under general direction, provides financial analysis, financial planning and negotiations support and administers the accounting functions for OSD; provides assistance and coordination with other government entities as needed.  Assists with special projects as assigned while providing financial trend analysis, forecasting and planning for government stakeholders. Duties include:

    Responsibilities

    • Provides financial analysis to government stakeholders and contractors on budget analysis, identifies revenue optimization opportunities and presents recommendations to support the agency, system expansion and enhancement decisions
    • Updates monthly revenue analysis and reconciles any montary allocations to ensure adherence to adopted allocation rules
    • Prepares revenue/ spend reports for government stakeholders
    • Performs variance analysis and develops recommendations on corrective action plans
    • Work assignemnts may include statistical analysis, financial analysis, budget development or other areas specific to the assignment.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a financial management field. If the proposed employee does not have a Bachelor’s degree in a financial management field this requirement will be met if the proposed employee has a Master’s degree in a financial management field
    • 3+ years of experience in resource management, including budget formulation, justification, and execution, in a U.S. Government agency
    • Utilizing personal computer software programs and other relevant investment management software affecting assigned work and in compiling and preparing spreadsheets
    • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other government division staff, contractos, and outside agencies
    • Interpreting and administering policies and procedures sufficient to administer, discuss, resolve, and explain them to staff and other constituencies
    • Preparing and analyzing complex data and numerical computations and comprehensive reports
    • Federal Accounting experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree in a financial management field; Membership in Defense Acquisition Corps (or its predecessor organizations), DAWIA certification, or DoD Financial Management certification
    • Expertise using DoD financial activity systems, e.g., Enterprise Business Accountability System, DAI, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller exhibits
