    Position Overview

    We are seeking a Contract Specialist to support our Intelligence client in assisting senior level personnel, middle management and junior personnel with providing innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and developing and implementing the agency procurement policy/processes.  Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph to be considered.  Position location is Springfield, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Performing all non-inherently Government tasks that are performed by a Federal Contract Specialist to include provide cradle to grave contract support ranging from identifying requirements and developing acquisition strategies to drafting a pre and post award documentation. 
    • Supporting the source selection process, to include performing cost and price analysis, and assisting with developing pre-negotiation positions for the Government. 
    • Serving as the POC for post award contract administration and be responsible for maintaining the contract file and monitoring overall contract performance. 
    • Providing instruction to more junior individuals on key aspects of the acquisition process.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Business-related field required
    • TS/SCI clearance required
    • 6+ years of progressive government contract experience
    • DAWIA certification and/or FAC-C in contracting required
    • Current/previous government experience required (1102 contracting)
    • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and acquisition planning

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Active affiliation with acquisition related industry groups highly desired
    • CI Polygraph strongly preferred, must have ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
    • Contract support experience with in the IC or DoD
