    Position Overview

    We are seeking an Acquisition Analyst to support our Intelligence client in assisting senior level personnel, middle management and junior personnel with providing innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and developing and implementing the agency procurement policy/processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance and direction on acquisition position identification, acquisition position coding and documentation support, analysis activities and workforce planning activities in compliance with the standards of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Implementation Act (DAWIA) and existing policies and procedures
    • Participates in design methodology for workforce identification/revalidation; supports socialization and marketing efforts; assists with data retrieval and data analysis activities for workforce planning activities and requirements
    • Provides advice and assistance to functional area technical experts (COR and program offices) on contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages based on a working knowledge of regulation policy
    • Supplies technical expertise and often assumes managerial duties
    • Responsible for the planning, preparing and maintaining of the current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions to include program control and tracking
    • Responsible for assisting with the development of writing performance criteria and requirements into sound/sufficient Statement of Work and/or task orders
    • Performs or evaluates market research and trends, conditions and technological advances as they apply to the program
    • Assists with the development of source selection evaluation criteria
    • Coordinates and works with the technical experts and the contracting office to ensure project milestones are reflected in the contractual documents and project plan
    • Assists in the development of independent Government Cost Estimates.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree 
    • Active TS/SCI clearance required; CI Polygraph strongly preferred.
    • 8+ years’ experience
    • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS) and contract administration
    • Ability to work independently and in a team on very complex acquisitions
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint.
       

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Significant or expert knowledge of DIA and/or Intelligence contracting community highly desired
    • DAWIA or Industry Standard certification in Contracting
    • Ability to work independently and in a team on very complex acquisitions
    • Active affiliation with acquisition related industry groups highly desired.
