    Position Overview

    E3 Federal Solutions are looking for a candidate with strong civil engineering background to support a large Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client providing construction and engineering oversight to a $4.4B portfolio of real-property. 

    Responsibilities

    Candidates whom will be considered for the role should have a strong background in the following areas:

    • Should be able to draw on their subject matter expertise - specifically, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering to assist the government in delivering solutions for the PMO;
    • Experience with Federal Government facility construction standards, horizontal construction (i.e., roads, boat ramps, bridges, and fence), and vertical construction (i.e., buildings);
    • Experience in communication and/or video surveillance tower construction and assessments;
    • Experience in developing and reviewing designs;
    • Ability to coordinate and participate in the preparation of field drawings and diagrammatic sketches to be provided to designers for incorporation into new or revised plans and specifications for the project.
    • Must have a structural license and be seismic zone accredited/certified
    • Needs to be able to understand and diagnose structural issues (with towers) using various methods (including FAA methodology)
    • Understand tower sustainment with life cycle management – understand tower maintenance and the cost build-out of that maintenance
    • Familiar with the design standards (FAA and Motorola Standards) for lightning protection and bonding.

    Required Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess an Engineering degree, preferably Civil Engineering;
    • Candidate must have at least 10 or more years of experience within the engineering field; 
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment; 
    • Must possess a good understanding/working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Must be able to work well as part of a larger nation-wide team.
    • Must be able to obtain a CBP suitability.
