    Position Overview

    The Marketing Coordinator promotes the client brand and builds strong online communities through various social media channels. The candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of social media content that is designed to engage the government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) community in a new and interactive way, and should have some video and analytics experience. The Marketing Coordinator will be required to collect and review content to develop more effective campaigns.

    Responsibilities

    Acting under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will assist in managing client projects specifically related to collateral coordination, email campaigns, blogging, social media, analytics and video production. Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Social media platform & community marketing campaign management that targets social content creation for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Yammer
    • Stakeholder outreach\relationship building
    • Search engine marketing
    • Post-campaign analysis

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or related field
    • minimum 2 years of marketing or public relations experience
    • Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Yammer)
    • Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
    • Knowledgeable with HubSpot
    • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically: Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
    • Proficient in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Knowledge of basic analytics
    • Proficient in HTML
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask/prioritize based on urgency
    • Strong verbal and written skills
    • Detail and team oriented
    • Highly organized
    • Demonstrates ability to update HTML

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Graduate degree in communications, journalism, or media, is preferred 
    • Highly preferred experience and skills in communications, public relations, and/or journalism at the NIH Headquarters level 
    • Strong social media skills and ability to develop and carry out social media communication strategies is preferred
