    Defense - E3/Sentinel’s Defense Division supports customers across the Department of Defense, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of the Navy, National Guard Bureau, Office of the Inspector General, and Washington Headquarters Services.     Position Overview

    We are seeking Program Analysts to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense in providing a full range of analytical services. The candidate can apply their analytical skills to help solve complex issues and ensure the office workflow continues even during high demand activities. Working well under pressure, consistently meet deadlines, managing multiple priorities, and careful handling of sensitive information are an absolute must.


    • Reviewing reports or associated correspondence packages for completeness, structure, content, and format
    • Analyzing information from a variety of acquisition and program sources
    • Authoring, reviewing, and editing documents and preparing reports
    • Participating in program performance assessments of Major Defense Acquisitions Programs
    • Clearly communicate senior leader decisions in items of correspondence prepared for signature
    • Determine the acceptability of documents based on composition, coordination, and logical analysis
    • Monitoring workload and precedence of tasks to direct prioritized changes to documents and routing based on rational well-founded priorities
    • Interact with and manage a broad range of highly sensitive issues with the front offices of the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, Joint Staff, Defense Agencies, GAO, Combatant Commands, US and foreign industry, and Congress

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s and four (4) years of general experience 
    • Two (2) years of experience performing research and analysis
    • DoD Secret required
    • Superior oral and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Six+ (6) years of direct analytical support experience and a Headquarters or Executive level DoD office, two years of which supporting high level military or civilian officials
    • Familiarity with DoD organizations and missions
    • Experience with OUSD(A&AS)
