    We are seeking a Real Estate Specialist to work within a CBP PMO providing expertise and guidance around real estate actions and laws that affect the real property portfolio.

    Several types of position activities can include:

    • Participate in construction planning to determine long lead time requirements for real estate, determine location specific real estate requirements, and help identify current land owners;
      • Prepare monthly Real Estate Acquisition Planning report;
      • Draft the real estate section of project requirement documents;
      • Provide RE input into change requests;
      • Develop RE budgets and schedules;
      • Assess projects with RE component;
      • Track all RE actions in internal client systems (FITT);
    • Maintain all real estate data in appropriate systems of record (TRIRIGA);
    • Participate in the process to acquire land parcels either by lease or purchase;
    • Assess RE needs of given actions (e.g., construction, lease/acquisition, maintenance/repair, etc.);
    • Evaluate requirements received from USBP, and any other offices, and translate then into RE requirements;
    • Coordinate easements that need to be out granted, facilitate/lead meetings and site visits when necessary and support CBP Office of Chief Council, USACE and DOJ throughout the land condemnation litigation process.


    Description of requirements, skills and certifications

    • 8 years of related experience required, preferably within CBP or DHS agencies
    • Bachelor’s Degree required;
    • Ability to receive a DHS Public Trust is required; Active Secret clearance is preferred
    • DHS construction experience is required; CBP level experience is preferred
    • Preferred knowledge and experience within FITT, TRIRIGA, and SAP.
