    Position Overview

    E3 Federal is looking for a high level strategic resource that can help improve upon and grow their client's PMO communications strategy. A successful candidate for this role is a detail-oriented, independent, subject matter expert in communications strategies and processes.

    Responsibilities

    Position responsibilities include:shall support the development and implementation of communications strategy and outreach plans, and coordinate information dissemination and stakeholder outreach;

    • perform a thorough communication, outreach and stakeholder audit to identify needs for each division and the organization as a whole and update and execute the PMO communications and stakeholder outreach plan to meet the Communication Objectives outlined in the PMO 5-Year Strategic Plan;
    • shall work closely with the PMO’s Business Operations Division Director and other Division Directors to ensure the objectives are met according to the Plan’s specified measurements;
    • shall update and continue to execute the overall PMO communications and stakeholder outreach plan to reflect the organization’s changing needs;
    • will oversee and ensure accurate content of the PMO SharePoint homepage (or its replacement), and identify opportunities to inform key internal and external stakeholders of the PMO’s accomplishments;
    • provide strategic support on communication and outreach activities on an on-going/as needed basis, identify opportunities to spotlight the PMO's programs and its accomplishments, and ensure that timely and accurate information is disseminated to and responses are made to CBP and PMO stakeholders while remaining consistent with internal and external messaging;
    • develop policy recommendations regarding the dissemination of information to correct mis-perceptions internally and externally, as well as to enhance public understanding, and provide support to senior management and members of their staff in developing directions in public affairs activities to support the PMO’s mission
    • shall draft, edit, and disseminate timely and accurate information and materials relating to PMO activities, program successes, project inaugurations, significant developments, etc.;
    • shall oversee the timely production and distribution of the PMO’s weekly highlights, and consolidate PMO wide communications items by gathering information and updates on various projects and initiatives from a variety of sources;
    • shall draft speeches, remarks, talking points, statements, graphics and other related documents for the PMO Director and Division Directors;
    • shall cultivate and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with and function as the outreach liaison to the CBP Office of Public Affairs (OPA), Office of Congressional Affairs (OCA), Office of Chief Counsel (OCC), State, Local, and Tribal (SLT), the USBP Public Affairs Officers, and the PMO's key service providers - the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
    • serve as a resource, attend appropriate meetings, create and recommend materials and responses to media, public, and congressional inquiries for management action, and coordinate high profile events such as groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies for facilities and public outreach meetings

    Required Qualifications

    • BA/BS in a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of communications related experience
    • Must have strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications (Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Project)
    • Ability to work with precision and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and dependable
    • Experience working and interacting with high-level executives, public officials, and stakeholders
    • Effective written and verbal communications
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability from a Public Trust background check
    • US Citizenship is required
