    Responsibilities

    E3 has an exciting opportunity for Business/Data Analyst to join our existing team providing program level information management support to a federal agency in Washington, DC. GSA FEDSIM provides assisted acquisition support for information technology systems and services, and professional services, to other U.S. Government agencies on a fee for service basis. FEDSIM’s business lines include system and network operations and maintenance, development of new applications, purchases of hardware and software, and many other IT goods and services, as well as professional services such as logistics. FEDSIM contracts with large and small private sector companies for these systems and services.

     

     

    The position will work closely with a program team to monitor and analyze project information and data needs, administer team collaboration portals, support contract modifications of a major government program, help to design more efficient ways of managing program information, data, and deliverables.

     

    E3 is seeking individuals that are energetic, forward thinking, with excellent communication skills, and strong analytical skills. The selected candidate will: 

    • Perform market research and write comprehensive reports for the program team 
    • Work with large spreadsheets and/or ad-hoc databases to manipulate and manage program information whether using macros, queries, scripts, etc. 
    • Gather requirements and participate in tool development of a long-term data management solution for the program needs 
    • Support the program’s file management requirements, version control, continuity of files, and naming conventions to ensure that the program team has confidence that any file they reference is the most current and accurate 
    • Be comfortable working with web-based team collaboration tools such as; Google Drive, Microsoft SharePoint, OMB Max, etc 
    • Research product codes and IDs for potential customers and contracting staff to provide detailed information and educate them on differences 
    • Compare and Analyze cost and pricing of goods and services to the Government 
    • Prepare data driven tools and processes that assist management to operate more effectively  
    • Provide general support to the client including, but not limited to, analysis, data calls, financial management, risk management, audits, and project management related tasks

     

    Qualifications

    BA/BS degree is required 

    • 2+ years of relevant experience
    • Willing to work in an administratively manual environment while working towards automation of processes in the future 
    • Clearable (able to pass both a criminal background check and credit check) 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on translating analytical findings to understandable media 
    • Excellent critical thinking skills 
    • Strong experience using MS Office Suite. especially MS Excel (i.e. macros, queries, coding a plus)

    Preferred:

    •   BS degree in business, MIS, or similar
    •   Experience automating and/or streamlining data querying and information  retrieval 
    •   Experience with business intelligence tools
    •   Experience with federal contracting a plus
