We are seeking an Acquisition Policy Subject Matter Expert to support a Department of Defense client in assisting senior level personnel, middle management and junior personnel with providing innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and developing and implementing the agency procurement policy/processes.

  • Provide guidance and direction on acquisition position identification, acquisition position coding and documentation support, analysis activities and workforce planning activities in compliance with the standards of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Implementation Act (DAWIA) and existing policies and procedures.
  • Ensures DIA specific policy and templates are in compliance with FAR and Federal Regualtions
  • Provides training to contractor and government workforce on policy related issues
  • Supports preparation for and execution of contractual audits for recurring Program Management Reviews
  • Drafts DIA policy in accordance with other existing policy.
  • Provides advice and assistance to functional area technical experts (COR and program offices) on contractual matters in the acquisition planning stages based on a working knowledge of regulation policy.
  • Supplies technical expertise and often assumes managerial duties.
  • Responsible for the planning, preparing and maintaining of the current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions to include program control and tracking.
  • Performs or evaluates market research and trends, conditions and technological advances as they apply to the program.


  • Master’s Degree required
  • TS/SCI clearance active in the last two years
  • 15+ years’ relevant experience in Government contracting / acquisitions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint
  • Ability to create and present training to large groups of people
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills


  • Significant or expert knowledge of DIA and/or Intelligence contracting community highly desired
  • DAWIA or Industry Standard certification in Contracting
  • Ability to work independently and in a team on very complex acquisitions
  • Active affiliation with acquisition related industry groups highly desired
