We are seeking a Cost and Price Analyst to provide support to a Department of Defense client in assisting senior level personnel, middle management and junior personnel with providing innovative business strategies, agile procurement solutions, and developing and implementing the agency procurement policy/processes.  Specific areas of focus include

  • Assist in the evaluation of cost/price data for all pre-award contracting activities up to an including contract award;
  • Assist in establishing cost/price language for solicitation/contracts;
  • Review and evaluate contract cost/price proposals for adequacy and compliance with laws and regulations - Cost Accounting Standards (CAS);
  • Perform price/cost analysis on the various elements of major contractor proposals, reviewing in detail the significant direct and indirect cost elements;
  • Assist in the development of and/or make recommendations for the price/cost objectives to be used in negotiations;  
  • Utilize Excel when establishing spreadsheets;
  • Provide advisory and/or negotiation services relative to a variety of complicated cost or pricing issues;
  • Provide a forecast of price trends, economic factors and efficiencies in production for future accounting periods using analytical techniques such as random sampling, cost models, learning curves, and parametric cost models;
  • Request, coordinate and integrate into a comprehensive pricing report the various technical evaluations of cost elements such as engineering; start-up labor; facilities; subcontractor overhead and profit; inefficiencies of idle labor; special delays and standby costs; escalation factors; home office allocations; job site/field service costs; overhead; and profit; and 
  • Evaluate financial statements, commercial credit reports, cash flow, and other financing arrangements (such as guaranteed loans) to establish the contractor's financial capability to successfully perform the contract to completion.



  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • TS/SCI clearance active in the last two years
  • 6+ years’ experience
  • DAWIA Level II in Contracting
  • Experience conducting cost realism analysis on all types of contracts.
  • Experience supporting cost analysis during source selections. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS) and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills


  • Ability to work independently and in a team on very complex acquisitions
  • Active affiliation with acquisition related industry groups
