Responsibilities

E3 Federal Solutions, LLC seeks a Master Project Scheduler to join our team in support of our homeland security federal government client , the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Program Management Office (PMO).

 

The Master Project Scheduler assists nationally located Project Managers in schedule organization and execution of multiple projects, acting as a “Master Scheduler” for the PMO.

 

This position performs the following regular work responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive project schedules and assist with the management of project milestones
  • Must have experience developing schedules in Primavera and in construction scheduling efforts
  • Update project schedules as needed to conform to current schedules and submit the updated Project Schedules to the Government client;
  • Assist with the management of resources within the schedule through the project lifecycle
  • Review project progress, measure performance and notify the government client of any deviations from existing/current schedule(s) and/or cost(s)

  • Scheduler will produce integrated schedule and project variance reports monthly that captures all schedules for all projects, any variances on timeline or costs, and any interdependencies with the schedule
  • Utilize Primavera and Microsoft Project to review, evaluate, and make recommendations on project documents such as project schedules and Project Requirement Documents (PRDs)
  • Shall evaluate schedules provided by contractors, other agencies, and internal entities and ensure they meet project requirements and sound logic principles.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in performing project management activities, specifically project scheduling and management.
  • In this senior strategy and project execution-focused position, an expert level knowledge of project management activities, especially mastery of schedule management
  • Possess a proven experience developing and maintaining working relationships with high level officials and technical experts.
  • Ability to conduct analytic assessments of work plans and progress reports and identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members, and be proactive in organizing PMO outreach to PMs to gather and report on schedule critical information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft office suite of programs, especially MS PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Word.
  • Familiar with website design and construction software programs like SharePoint or Adobe.
  • Experience working in a fast-based, analytical environment.
  • Ability to travel on occasion; travel is less than 10% for this position.

 

Specialized Skills/Certifications include:

  • Must be able to obtain CBP Public Trust; Completed CBP Background Investigation clearance preferred.
  • DHS Experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with, Project Management, Scheduling and Risk Management/Mitigation.
  • Experienced in solving difficult issues related to project funding and scheduling.
