Responsibilities

 

This position is located at 800 North Capitol Street, NW, Washington, DC

 

  • Works with customer to develop multiple iterations of cyber-physical policies and management guidance.  Support the continued development of the client policy library including identifying and documenting new standards, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Tracks and analyzes technical and legal trends impacting cyber-related activities.
  • Drafts informational documents and announcements to inform and instruct non-IT and law enforcement personnel.
  • Drafts a weekly Cyber Intelligence Brief based on research of malware affecting Industrial Control Systems, Building Automation Systems, or other critical infrastructure systems.
  • Identifies, investigates, and analyzes cyber events for Cyber Intelligence significance.
  • Adapts and develops documentation for applying standard cyber security and analysis standards, practices, and processes.
  • Supports customer operational activities (e.g., budgeting operations, etc.) in support of the larger Cyber-physical mission.
  • Collects data, analyzes results, and prepares reports relating to project/program objectives.
  • Liaises with inter-agency government partners, external private and non-profit organizations, research and academic institutions and stakeholders on applicable topics and best practices/ policies/procedures/etc.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust Suitability clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 years or more of experience
  • A policy and/or legal background is strongly encouraged.
  • Proficient in tracking and analyzing technical and legal trends that will impact cyber activities.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience working within a law enforcement agency, within DHS, is preferred.
  • Demonstrate the ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience.
  • Understanding and experience with interpreting and implementing NIST 800-53 v. 4.
  • Understanding and experience working with the Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Understanding and experience implementing physical security systems/structures and cyber security concepts.
  • Experience working with a risk management framework.
